Tuesday at Lightapalooza is dedicated to comprehensive learning, but it’s far from just another day of endless education sessions. Based on valuable feedback from last year, we've refined and expanded our offerings into six distinct education tracks: Lighting Fundamentals Certification, Designer-Led Lighting Education, Academia Education featuring University Professors, a Business Track, Intelligent Power Systems, and a Controls Track. The day starts with these engaging sessions, leading into a keynote address by Dr. Kevin Houser from the University of Oregon. After the keynote, the Exhibitor Show Floor opens, providing a chance for attendees to explore the latest innovations. The day culminates with the highly anticipated debut of the Lightapalooza Showcase Suites Open House and Cocktail Reception from 5-7 pm.
Wednesday at Lightapalooza offers a rich blend of education, networking, and hands-on experiences. The Exhibitor Show Floor is open all day from 10 am to 6 pm, while the second offering of the SHINEpro Lighting Fundamentals Certification course kicks off in the afternoon. The day begins with the WILD (Women in Lighting and Design) chapter meeting breakfast, followed by the Women in Lighting Design luncheon, both providing key opportunities for connection and inspiration. Hands-on lighting labs and demonstrations will also run throughout the day in the Showcase Suites area, offering practical, immersive learning experiences. To round out the day, Lightapalooza will host a reception for the local Dallas ICAA and ASID chapters, bridging connections between the lighting and broader design communities.
Thursday at Lightapalooza is the final day of the SHINEpro Lighting Fundamentals Certification course and continues with a full day of important courses and topical panel discussions. The Exhibitor Show Floor is open from 9 am to 3 pm, providing attendees one last chance to explore innovative solutions. Thursday is also CEU Day, offering a wide array of AIA and IDCEC Accredited Continuing Education Units. Attendees, including architects, interior designers, and others seeking professional development, will have plenty of opportunities to earn CEUs through the extensive educational sessions available throughout the day.
